Salve booklovers,
oggi vi segnalo due libri in inglese di cui non ho visto particolare pubblicità.

Il primo è di un autore di cui ho già parlato in questa rubrica, il suo primo libro è già uscito in Italia con una copertina veramente brutta.

Titolo: The inexplicable of my life
Autore: Benjamin Alire Saenz


Trama:"Sal used to know his place with his adoptive gay father, their loving Mexican American family, and his best friend, Samantha. But it’s senior year, and suddenly Sal is throwing punches, questioning everything, and realizing he no longer knows himself. If Sal’s not who he thought he was, who is he?"


La trama è davvero corta, non da tantissime informazioni, ma sono comunque curiosa di leggerlo. Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe è li ancora che mi aspetta, ma con calma arriverò a leggere anche questo.

Il secondo credo che sia molto inerente al periodo di Halloween, e già la copertina in effetti è molto esplicativa.

Titolo: The hollow girl
Autore: Hillary Monahan

La trama sembra molto creepy e splatter, chissà se verrà mai tradotto.

Libri in lingua #8

Salve booklovers,
oggi una puntata di libri in lingua un pò particolare.

Particolare perchè entrambi i libri che vi mostrerò non sono ancora in commercio, ma usciranno tra poco. Questo vuol dire che, se mai li tradurranno, dovremo aspettare ancora un bel pò, ma non potevo non segnalarveli perchè le autrici sono molto conosciute.


Il primo di cui vi parlo è scritto da un'autrice ormai conosciutissima, anche in Italia dove è pervenuta a noi la sua prima opera, anche se mancano ancora i racconti. Spero vivamente che si pubblichino tutti i suoi scritti, perchè lei mi piace molto, e leggerei di tutto scritto da lei.

Titolo: Renegades
Autore: Marissa Meyer

La trama sembra straordinaria. Devo mettermi in testa di leggere in inglese, non si possono perdere delle perle così.

L'autrice del secondo è un pò meno conosciuta, purtroppo in Italia sono arrivati solo i primi due volumi della sue trilogia, e non ne arriveranno altri perchè è una serie interrotta, purtroppo. Mi erano piaciuti molto, e mi dispiace non poter finire di leggere questa storia, mancava solo l'ultimo volume.
Ma sembra che la storia non sia finita definitivamente, perchè esce un quarto volume.

Devo assolutamente leggere questo libro, ma forse prima è il caso di leggere The retribution of Mara Dyer.

Salve lettori,
come trascorrerete questo fine settimana bollente? Io a casa perchè devo lavorare, non vedo l'ora che arrivino le ferie!!!

Facendo il mio solito giretto per il web ho adocchiato due libri che sarei davvero curiosa di leggere, ovviamente tenendo le dita incrociate perchè vengano tradotti.

Il primo libro non è ancora uscito nemmeno in inglese, arriverà nelle librerie a settembre, ma siccome l'autrice l'ho già adorata in una trilogia, non potevo non nominarlo in questa rubrica e spero proprio arrivi presto in Italia.

Titolo: Warcross
Autore: Marie Lu

La trama mi attira parecchio, la trovo intrigante. Anche la copertina devo dire mi attira molto.

Il secondo libro è di un'autrice che non conosco, e di cui non so praticamente niente, non so se questo è il suo primo scritto o se invece ha già pubblicato qualcosa.

Titolo: The bone witch
Autore: Rin Chupeco

Salve amanti dei libri,

 

oggi voglio mostrarvi due libri che ho trovato molto interessanti, di due scrittrici di cui in Italia abbiamo letto le loro saghe.


Il primo libro vorrei che arrivasse il prima possibile, anche se in effetti la Mondadori sta ancora pubblicando la sua precedente saga, e delle novelle non si sa ancora niente, però incrocio le dita che faccia arrivare tutto di questa bravissima scrittrice.

Titolo: Heartless
Autore: Marissa Meyer


Trama:"

La trama è bellissima e mi piacerebbe proprio leggere un retelling sulla Regina Rossa.

Anche il secondo libro è scritto da un'autrice che ha scritto una duologia che è già stata pubblicata in Italia, non l'ho ancora letta, ma tutti ne parlano con entusiasmo, quindi mi piacerebbe che la Newton Compton portasse anche questa sua opera.

Titolo: Flame in the mist
Autore: Renée Ahdieh

L'ambientazione è assolutamente originale, mi piacerebbe proprio leggerlo.

Scopriamo i libri in lingua #5

Salve lettori,
era da qualche mese che non mi occupavo di questa rubrica, quindi oggi ho deciso di mostrarvi due letture che penso siano davvero interessanti.

Il primo libro che vi mostro è di un autore che conosco e di cui ho letto un libro che ho amato moltissimo. Spero vivamente che qualche casa editrice traduca questo volume, altrimenti sarò costretta a comprarmelo in inglese (alcune blogger affermano che il livello di inglese non è difficile, quindi forse è alla mia portata).

Titolo: The rest of us just live here
Autore: Patrick Ness


Trama:"What if you aren't the Chosen One? The one who's supposed to fight the zombies, or the soul-eating ghosts, or whatever the heck this new thing is, with the blue lights and the death?

Sette minuti dopo la mezzanotte mi era piaciuto da morire, in più lo stile di scrittura era scorrevole e davvero piacevole, quindi vorrei proprio leggere qualcos'altro di questo autore.

Il secondo libro è abbastanza recente, c'è stato un pò uno spam ovunque, e ciò mi ha spinto a leggere la trama, che in effetti non è affatto male.

Titolo: Caraval
Autore: Stephanie Garber

Questo non credo proprio sia alla portata del mio inglese, quindi non mi resta che sperare che approdi presto in Italia.

Buonasera booklovers,
come avete potuto notare venerdì non sono riuscita a pubblicare nessun post, ho avuto 2 settimane davvero intense, talmente tanto da non permettermi nemmeno la programmazione del post, spero che possiate scusarmi per questo inconveniente.

Ho scovato due libri davvero interessanti che spero davvero che vengano tradotti. Il primo è scritto da un'autrice a me non sconosciuta, in quanto ho letto la sua prima saga che mi era piaciuto molto, e questa sua seconda saga è praticamente uno spin-off della prima.

Titolo: Bloodlines
Autore: Richelle Mead


Trama: "Sydney belongs to a secret group who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the world of humans and vampires.
But when Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, she fears she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. What unfolds is far worse. Certo la copertina non mi fa per niente impazzire, ma vorrei proprio tornare nel mondo dei Moroi e dei Dhampir!

Il secondo è meno conosciuto, o almeno io non ne avevo mai sentito parlare, ma la trama mi intriga parecchio, mannaggia a me che non mi piace leggere in inglese!

Titolo: Dorothy must die (solo il titolo è bellissimo!)
Autore: Danielle Paige

oggi vi segnalo due libri in lingua inglese, il primo poco conosciuto che ho scoperto casualmente,  non è nominato molto dal popolo del web italiano, mentre il secondo forse è nominato anche troppo, ma comunque mi incuriosisce.

Titolo: 172 hours on the moon
Autore: Johan Harstad


La trama mi intriga parecchio, ve la scrivo anche se è in inglese.


Trama: "It's been decades since anyone set foot on the moon. Now three ordinary teenagers, the winners of NASA's unprecedented, worldwide lottery, are about to become the first young people in space--and change their lives forever. Non so se verrà mai tradotto, perchè non ho trovato nessuna notizia al riguardo, però mi piacerebbe che lo facessero, perchè io lo leggerei di sicuro.

Questo libro l'ho visto in ogni blog, instagram, canale yt di italiane che leggono in inglese, quasi tutte le persone che seguo lo hanno spammato e decantato le lodi, quindi non può essere brutto se tutti quanti gli danno 5 stelline, la trama mi sembra interessante.

Titolo: A court of thorns and roses (per gli amici Acotar!)
Autore: Sarah J Maas


Di questa autrice la Mondadori sta pubblicando un'altra serie, magari arriverà a tradurre anche questa dato il tantissimo successo.

Salve lettori,
oggi per la rubrica delle scoperte dei libri in lingua, voglio parlarvi di un libro particolare.

La trama è davvero interessante, e molti blogger lo hanno recensito davvero positivamente, quindi è uno di quei volumi che sono finiti nella mia wishlist di corsa.


Ma devo dirvi la verità, questo libro in effetti è stato tradotto, e voi vi domanderete come mai l'ho inserito in questa rubrica, la risposta non è semplice da spiegare, è meglio se vi mostro il problema...

Questo è il libro in questione: "Aristotele e Dante scoprono i segreti dell'universo".


La prima volta che ho visto questo libro ho pensato che ci fosse stato un errore, e che mi trovavo davanti ad un libro scolastico, non ad un romanzo, la copertina sembra quella dei libri di matematica/fisica/chimica.


La copertina non mi piace per niente, ho un rifiuto totale. Purtroppo non penso che riuscirò mai a leggerlo in italiano, è un problema solo mio oppure anche voi vedete quello che vedo io?

Invece la copertina inglese è spettacolare.

Alcune volte mi chiedo come mai le case editrici decidano di cambiare le copertine, mi piacerebbe proprio sapere i meccanismi che ci sono dietro alla pubblicazione di un libro.


Sono tentata sul serio di comprarlo in lingua originale, tutti parlano di un livello basso di inglese, che è veramente semplice, quindi ci sto facendo un pensierino.

Scopriamo i libri in lingua #1

Salve lettori,
oggi volevo affrontare un nuova rubrica riguardante i libri in lingua inglese.


Mi piacerebbe da morire riuscire a leggere bene in inglese, ma ogni volta che decido di dedicarmici puntualmente rinuncio perchè, non conoscendo tutte le parole del vocabolario inglese, mi sembra di perdermi qualcosa della trama saltando le parole, quindi quando mi ritrovo una parola nuova la cerco, ma così facendo per leggere una pagina ci impiego una vita, e poi con tutte queste pause non mi godo la trama.


Soluzione? Purtroppo nessuna, si può solo incrociare le dita e sperare che le case editrici italiane siano interessate a tradurre quei libri.


Dopo tutto questo preambolo dove voglio andare a parare con questo post? Semplicemente mettere in evidenza uno/due libri che vorrei che fossero tradotti perchè guardando la trama avrei proprio voglia di leggerli!

Mi piace tantissimo la storia, vorrei proprio sapere come si evolve! (Harper Collins visto che hai tradotto altri libri della Showalter, ti prego traduci anche questo!!!)

Il secondo libro è di un'autrice che non conosco, ma anche di questo vorrei subito una copia.
